RACE SCHOOL PROGRAM

Speedster Racing Academy provides enthusiastic learners with a complete package, including a race car, safety gear (such as helmets and race suits if needed), fuel, fluids, tires, lunch, on-track and classroom instruction, a framed certificate upon successful completion, and professional photography services by our skilled photographer. To ensure a personalized and focused learning experience, class sizes are deliberately limited to five students.

Our students take the wheel of race-ready Spec Racer Ford (SRF) Gen 2 mid-engine cars, featuring a resilient 1.9L four-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. These SRFs adhere to strict specifications, emphasizing driver ability and improvement.

Meet our Chief Instructor, Scott Stephens, whose extensive on-track and road racing experience, combined with in-depth knowledge of SpecRacer Ford construction and performance, ensures top-tier training. Scott, a key figure since the school's inception in 1985, has worked alongside his father, race school founder Mike Stephens, and currently serves as the track owner, manager, and Customer Service Rep for SCCA Enterprises and SpecRacer Ford.

Attending Speedster Racing Academy costs $1,600 per person per day, with a 50% deposit due at registration and the remainder one day before the event. Students should expect challenges, rewards, camaraderie, and an experience they’ll never forget. For the low cost of $1,600 per day, here’s what a typical one-day school schedule may look like:

DAY #1 Race School Schedule (APPROXIMATE times listed):

8:30-9:30AM: Introductions, Classroom, Driver/Car setup
9:30-10AM: Threshold braking exercise
10-10:30AM: Drive around with instructor exercise
10:30-11AM: Group driving lead around (“Baby Duck”)
11-11:30AM: Break
11:30-Noon: Open practice (instructors on track and trackside)
Noon-1PM: Lunch (provided)
1-4PM: Multiple open practice sessions, video reviews, and Q&A sessions (rotating)*
4-4:30PM: Winners’ Circle photos
4:30PM: Class is dismissed!
